Insurance provider Scottish Provident has introduced an improved quote and apply functionality for advisers using True Potential, which is likely to benefit those looking for income protection cover.
According to the firm, the new facility is designed to "provide advisers with a greater benefit coverage", allowing them to access the company's full self-assurance term schemes easily.
Available for all UK financial advisers, True Potential is a complete business processing platform that the organisation hopes will be of benefit to consumers by quickening their application processes.
Scottish Provident's eBusiness development manager David Law explained that the company is "convinced that a successful and profitable future for the industry depends on expanding the role of technology and cutting out unnecessary costs".
He added: "This improvement will make it easier for advisers using the True Potential system to access our comprehensive range of protection products and apply directly via an extranet link."
Income protection insurance is one of the covers recommended as an ideal way of protecting earnings, which is vital in the current economic climate and unstable employment market.
The Centre for Economics and Business Research recently warned that job losses could climb to 3.8 million in a worst case scenario.
