Legal & General's Critical Illness Cover Improved

Legal & General's Critical Illness Cover now covers 40 conditions and also includes the following new and improved benefits:

  • Low grade prostate cancer as an additional payment - Covering all types of treatment 
  • 3 more ABI+ definitions – Cancer, Multiple Sclerosis & Stroke, taking the total number of ABI+ definitions to 14
  • Improvement to ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) additional payment - Now offering cover for Lumpectomy as well as Mastectomy
  • Improvement to Heart valve replacement cover – Now covers any surgery, such as Keyhole surgery
  • Exclusion period reduced on terminal illness to last 12 months - For Life and Life + CIC products
  • Increased maximum age for Children Critical Illness Cover – Now covered up to age 21, if in full time education
  • Improved flexibility options – Joint life policy separation and replacement cover available at point of claim
  • NO Maximum Claims Period - There is no maximum period of time within which a client has to make a valid claim within the life of the policy
