Advisers get income protection cover selling lessons
In a bid to encourage advisors to make income protection cover a priority with customers, insurance provider Friends Provident has launched an online income protection toolkit.
A variety of tools, tips and techniques designed to improve advisers' income protection selling skills are included in the online resource, which was launched yesterday (August 26th).
Three pre-recorded online seminars focusing on the current marketplace are also included in the toolkit.
Explaining the inspiration behind the launch, Mark Jones, head of protection at Friends Provident, said that the firm's "previous mini toolkits have been a great success and have helped to bring all sales support material together in one place for the adviser".
He added: "Both the toolkit and online seminars further build on the value of distance learning; especially important during an economy where costs and time are limited."
Friends Provident recently announced enhancements to its individual income protection products, making it one of only two providers in the UK to offer a customised product for NHS doctors.
The enhancements were designed to work alongside the NHS sick pay scheme because the NHS provision is "greatly restricted", the company said.Do you want advice on Income protection insurance?
